Hi! I’m Karen and I’m a comedy writer/performer living in New York. I contribute regularly to The New Yorker, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, Splitsider, and elsewhere. I was also listed as one of 20 comedians to look out for in 2018!
I recently graduated from college, where I was a member of the improv troupe The Immediate Gratification Players and the Signet Society. At school I directed shows with the Harvard-Radcliffe Dramatic Club, including SKETCH, the school's annual sketch comedy show which I founded. I also had the honor of directing SHE, an original musical at the American Repertory Theater's OBERON.
I also hosted/emceed shows on campus. Highlights include: Cultural Rhythms for the Harvard Foundation with actress Viola Davis, Expressions Dance Company performances, and alt-comedy shows like The Other Comedy Show (feat. comedians of color) and LMAO (feat. all of the school's comedy groups).
Feel free to reach out if you wanna talk comedy or writing or just be friends!
