I thought about captioning this photo with a joke about Phantom of the Opera, but I couldn’t remember that name so I googled “scary opera man face.” Turns out, there are a lot of scary opera man faces and you can fall really deep into that internet rabbit hole. I ultimately forgot the joke but at least now I’ll have nightmares.

I was writing for a new Netflix show when the strike started; I’m on leave from Late Night with Seth Meyers, my TV home. Previously, I’ve written for Pachinko (Apple TV) and the Golden Globes (2019, 2021), acted in HBO’s High Maintenance, and contributed regularly to The New Yorker. I’ve also been published in places like The New York Times, The Washington Post, and McSweeney’s, which was very nice of them. If you like public radio, you may have heard me on NPR’s Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me! where I am a regular panelist and occasional guest host.
I was recently featured as one of Vulture’s Comedians to Know and listed on Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood. I was equal parts honored and mortified to be on Forbes 30 Under 30. For more stuff like that, head on over to the Press tab!
