Hi! I’m Karen and I’m a comedy writer/performer based in Brooklyn.

As a writer, I contribute regularly to The New Yorker, as well as The New York Times, McSweeney’s, Reductress, Shondaland, and more. I recently had the honor of winning the inaugural Erma Bombeck residency, and I also worked (read: "helped write dumb jokes") for the upcoming Reductress pilot on Comedy Central. Cool!

As a comedian, I perform all around town (UCB, Ars Nova, Union Hall, etc) and recently opened for Ronny Chieng (The Daily Show) at Caroline’s on Broadway. I’ve written/read pieces for NPR, and I was also listed as one of OnMogul’s 20 comedians to look out for in 2018, which was very nice of them. Click here for my upcoming shows!
