Hi! I’m Karen and I’m a comedy writer/performer based in Brooklyn.

As a writer, I contribute regularly to The New Yorker, as well as The New York Times, McSweeney’s, Reductress, Shondaland, and more. I recently had the honor of winning the inaugural Erma Bombeck residency, and I also worked (read: "helped write dumb jokes") for the upcoming Reductress pilot on Comedy Central. Cool!

As a comedian, I perform all around town (UCB, Ars Nova, Union Hall, etc) and recently opened for Ronny Chieng (The Daily Show) at Caroline’s on Broadway. I’ve written/read pieces for NPR, and I was also listed as one of OnMogul’s 20 comedians to look out for in 2018, which was very nice of them!!

If you’d like to see my face, just look to the left!
